Spring 2008: The Student Learning Enhancement Team is appointed
.

Fall Semester 2008Student Learning Initiative web site launched. Student Learning Enhancement Team will arrange forums to gather input from faculty and staff. Students and alumni will also be contacted.

Spring Semester 2009:  Student Learning Enhancement Team will hold open meetings to discuss pre-proposals, solicit and discuss full proposals and make a recommendation to the Leadership Team as to which Initiative to pursue.

Academic Year 2009-2010:  Once the Initiative is chosen, the Student Learning Enhancement Team may be reconfigured based on the area of focus.  The team will design a plan to develop, implement and assess the success of the Initiative.  The plan includes developing a budget to support this effort.

Fall Semester 2010: UGA submits proposal for the Student Learning Initiative to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

.

Spring Semester 2011: SACS reviews proposal.

.

Fall Semester 2011:  After approval by SACS, Student Learning Initiative implementation begins.

.

Spring Semester 2016: UGA submits five-year progress report on Student Learning Initiative to SACS.
